Youve Got
a Friend In Toastmasters
is the Districts theme for the 2009-2010 Toastmasters
year, but it is more than just our theme! It reflects the
fact that Toastmasters is an organization that emphasizes
mutual support, camaraderie, and friendship, all while we
are working to achieve our own personal goals. If you are a
member of a Toastmasters Club, then you know for a fact that
you are among friends who are cheering for you at every step
of your journey; if you are not a member yet, you almost
certainly have a friend who is already part of the
Toastmasters family, and that person would love to have you
be a part of our program. This is our guarantee: as a part
of one of the worlds most supportive educational
organization, you will find yourself among friends, and you
will have fun while achieving your communication and
leadership goals!
Jim Dooley,
DTM, District Governor
